Our arrival day of August 3rd was a busy day with dinner at Williams Inn, a stop at White Rock park, and attending the truck pull at Wilson Park in town. We stopped at the White Rock park to take pictures of the kids on a downed tree that has been there the past few years. We have stopped here to take pictures the last few years, and we wanted to continue the tradition this year. Next year Jayden will be able to join in on the fun. And as always you can read about my thoughts about the weekend in the Diary.
After we finished taking pictures at White Rock, we headed into town to enjoy the truck pull at Wilson Park. It cooled down a lot more than we had planned for, so a special thanks to my Aunt Karen for sharing her blankets with us! On Sunday the 4th we headed into town to attend the parade and check out the car show. As usual, my Uncle David marched with the veterans. Also as usual, the kids collected way too much candy. But, as usual, they really enjoyed themselves, and that is what counts. |
