We got up bright and early Sunday, January 20th to drive down
to Detroit to attend the North American International Auto Show. We got there
about 8:45am for the 9:00 opening. The nice thing about getting there early was
that parking under Cobo Hall was available. We spent a couple hours walking
around checking out the cars, especially the GM displays focusing on any vehicle
that seats 7 or more. The crowds are definitely smaller at this time of day too.

After leaving the show Tara and I took the kids on the Detroit
People Mover for a ride around the city. We stopped off at Greektown, where we
went to Pizza Papalis for lunch. The kids got to make their own pizzas right at
the table, and Tara and I got a deep dish pizza. Just before we finished Tara
spotted one of Sam's friends coming down the street with her family, so we made
sure to say hi before heading back to the People Mover to head back to the van
to head home.
