Tyler didn't have his best game of the season on Monday,
June 14th, but his team certainly played hard. They lost a closely played game
9-8 after leaving the bases loaded in the 6th inning (they only play 6 innings
in this league). Tyler struck out twice and walked once today during his
at-bats, and he also let a ball get under his glove when he was playing second
base. Unfortunately, he wasn't alone in this category, as it also happened to
our shortstop (who actually stopped the ball with his glove on two occasions but
let the ball come out and get away from him on both occasions) and our right
fielder (which likely proved to provide the winning margin for the A's). I'm
sure Tyler is a little rusty from missing so much time with his burns, and I was
hoping that some time would suddenly materialize to practice with him this past
weekend, but that didn't seem to happen. I'll try to get some work in with him
before his next game to see if that will help. Fingers crossed, it will!

Tyler said he was extremely confident before his first at bat...

|
...unfortunately that didn't yield any hits, as Tyler continued
to swing at high pitches that would have been balls and then watch
the third called strike go right down the middle of the plate.

Tyler started off the game playing second base today, where he
booted one ground ball.

Tyler finished today's game in left field. He didn't see any
action out here tonight.

Another swing and a miss from Tyler.

Tyler did manage to hold off on swinging at balls too far
outside or too low. Now, about those high ones...
