Game 1

Home Up

Tyler's season got started on a better note than Samantha's did. With a closely contested first half and a widening lead in the second, we cruised to a 34-14 win. Tyler got the start at point guard, which came as a surprise to me (I knew he played pretty decent defense, but I thought his ball handling needed work). He played well, making several drives to the lane, although he did get called for carrying the ball a few times. He finished the game with 6 points, but could have had around 16 if he made some easy shots. He'll start to get more comfortable as the season progresses. He also played pretty decent defense today, guarding the best player on the other team (who still scored most of his team's 14 points). Hopefully this game is a sign of things to come for the rest of the season, both for Tyler and the team.

One reminder when looking at the pictures - Tyler's number this season is 2, so keep an eye out for that if you can't figure out which one he is when looking at them.

Tyler's Basketball - Game #1

Tyler spent most of the game guarding the oppositions best player, who also happened to be a teammate on his baseball team last summer.

Tyler running up the court, trying to get open for a pass.

Although it is hard to tell, Tyler is driving with the ball down the right side of the lane. He is mostly obscured by the player guarding him here.

The final score, a 34-14 win for the good guys.
