The championship game for the U11 Bronze division of the Powerade Invitational Tournament came down to a rematch of the La Forza White Ice and the Michigan Alliance 01 Grey. Yesterday's game ended in a 4-0 win for the Ice, and today's game ended with the exact same score, once again in favor of the La Forza girls. It was great to see every one of the girls contribute and play their hardest. Samantha didn't score any goals today, but she played strong at her midfield position. She even got to do a sideline throw-in (usually done by a defensive player), a corner kick, and a free kick during today's game. After the game her coach complimented her play, adding that she showed improvement each and every game. Great job Sammie!

After the game the girls gathered together to receive their plaque commemorating their achievement and to have some photos taken. Here are some of the best we could get from our position. It's hard to get 12 girls and their coach to stand still for a picture!
