What a thriller! A double-overtime thriller to be more
precise. What a way to start off the new session of Cage basketball, with a
thrilling 32-31 come from behind - not once, but twice - victory. At the end of
regulation the ACC team was down two points, and Tyler's teammate Darius knocked
down a clutch two point basket to send it to overtime. Then, in the overtime
period and trailing by three, Luke hit a three-pointer off the glass as time
expired to send it into double overtime. At the Cage the double OT games are won
by the team that scores first, and each team had a couple of looks at the
basket. Thankfully a clutch free throw by Luke was all it took to seal the
victory for the good guys. Tyler didn't have the greatest game offensively
today, as he missed all of the shots that he took despite getting some good
looks at the basket. He more than made up for it with hustle on the defensive
end of the court, however, by making a couple of blocked shots through shear
hustle, chasing players down on fast breaks.
A special thank you to the parents of Tyler's teammate
Ryan for helping out with my camera as I kept score today, especially since Tara
was unable to attend due to Drew's basketball Clinic.
