Game 2

Home Up

After having a 10:40am game, the girls had to return to the same complex for a game at 6:40pm tonight. Although this sometimes causes the girls tend to come back a little sluggish, that didn't really cause any problems in this game. The girls played a strong first half, with action occurring on both ends of the field. They managed to hold the opposition scoreless until halftime, though they were unable to score any goals themselves. Samantha moved back into goal into the second half of tonight's game, and while she didn't play terrible, she did allow three second half goals (her team didn't give her any help, though, at one point forming a wall on a penalty kick and then opening up a hole which the ball sailed through and into the net... another goal sailed way over her head, finding it's way just under the crossbar and into the back of the net). By the time it was said and done, the girls failed to score a goal and they dropped their second game of the tournament by a score of 3-0.
