Game 5

Home Up

The game against Swartz Creek was a game that was a struggle throughout, thanks to fouls and struggles on the offensive end of the court for the Bronchos. While they managed to keep the game close through the first quarter, the second quarter presented serious offensive problems - they only managed to score 2 points in the 6 minutes, and they trailed 15-10 at halftime. The third quarter presented further troubles, as they wound up down 9 points by the end of the third quarter, trailing 25-16. The coach kept the "first-team" on the court the entire fourth quarter, as they provided most of the offense throughout the game. This strategy seemed to light a fire under the team, and they went on an offensive run while at the same time playing good defense. It came down to the last few seconds, but the Bronchos managed to come all the way back from the 9 point deficit to take a 27-25 lead. A steal of the ball as time expired sealed the victory for the boys, their 4th of the season.

Tyler was disappointed in his playing time today, but his team struggled to score when they were on the floor. This was through no fault of his own, as he has to rely on his teammates to make the passes to put him in a good position, and that didn't happen consistently today. He did make a steal and had some rebounds today, so his effort wasn't entirely wasted. Overall, he did a good job, solidifying his spot on the "second-team."
