Hurricanes Game 4

Home Up

The second of the two games today was against one of the local teams from the Traverse City area. While I really thought that the Hurricanes came out strong in this one and had a good chance at winning, they just couldn't seem to get one past the goaltender early in the game. The more shots were stopped, the more it seemed like the kids minds started to wander. While they were still giving it their all, they began to allow goal after goal to the GTHA team - 13 in all while not scoring a single goal themselves. The loss was heartbreaking, but the kids were all smiles in the locker room afterwards, knowing that they are showing signs of improvement each and every time they face a new opponent.

Drew probably could have drove to the net with the puck here, but instead he decided to unleash a long range shot.
