April 27th, 2013              

    Jayden participated in her first ever soccer game on Saturday, April 27th. She was placed on a team for the spring season (teams are formed in the fall and carry over to spring), so most of her teammates were well aware of everything that was happening, but it was all new for Jayden. Had she not had a soccer-loving big sister to take her under her wing, she may well have been lost out there! As it was she more than held her own on the field. While she needs a little bit of work on defense, her offense was in mid-season form. She scored a goal on a kick that was so hard that when it hit the back post of the goal it bounced out so fast that most of the kids on the field didn't realize that it was a goal! Great shot Jay, and a great job overall.

    While we aren't really suppose to keep score, you know that we did! Jay's team lost 8-5, and she wasn't too pleased about that. I am sure things will get better for her though as the season continues on.
