Samantha and her teammates returned to the court after
having a week off, and they showed no ill side effects. In fact, they looked
pretty good playing against Sam's old teammates from last season. They held the
lead for a majority of the game, and any time the opposing team got close or
tied the score the Oxford Bank team managed to pull ahead once again... until
the last few minutes of the game, that is. That is when they finally gave up the
lead, and they were never able to get it back. By the time the final
buzzer had sounded, the good guys were on the short end of a 24-21 score.
Sam played decently today, although she wasn't able to
score. She also had a few ill-advised passes late in the game that didn't help
her teams cause, but she made up for them by playing good, aggressive,
ball-hawking defense and by hustling on both ends of the court. Despite the
loss, Sam can continue to feel good about her play on the court.
