Game 6

Home Up

October 15th, 2014

Jayden and her teammates played a rematch against her former coaches and teammates, who they had lost to 7-1 in the first game of the season this year. Things were looking promising for Jay's team early in this game, as they jumped out to an early lead, going in to the second quarter with a 2-0 lead. Unfortunately it was all downhill from there, as they allowed 5 unanswered goals to finish the game with a 5-2 defeat. Jay did spend one quarter playing for the other team, who were shorthanded for today's game. She played defense for the opposition, and despite my urging to let her team score a bunch of goals she just couldn't do it! Jay played well today, getting herself in position for a couple of good shots on goal. She wasn't able to convert, but it certainly wasn't for a lack of effort.

During the second quarter Jayden switched teams (the other team was short a player, her team lend them a different player each quarter). Here she is lining up a goal kick...

...and following through.

Jayden switched back to her team for the second half, and did her best to gain control of the ball in the middle of a crowd.

Jay had a shot at a wide open net, but couldn't quite find the back of it.

...and tossing it down the line to a teammate.
