City Cup Game 3

Home Up

May 25th, 2016

Going 1-1 in the City Cup tournament so far has made today's game a win or go home contest. There is no rest for the weary, as last night's loss forced Drew and his Harn teammates to take the field again today, this time against the Hitt Team. After a relatively low scoring game yesterday, today's contest proved to be quite the opposite. It was a back and forth battle as the team's traded runs throughout the game. Despite putting up 13 runs today, it wasn't quite enough to extend their season, as the Hitt Team ended the Harn team's chances by plating 17 runs of their own. This wasn't the way that anyone wanted the season to end, but the boys fought hard and showed lost of improvement from game 1 to now. While they didn't win as much as we all would have liked, that isn't the only sign of a good season - having fun, learning, improving. All of those are important too. Great job boys, and great job Drew!

Drew later moved to the mound, where he...

...took aim for the plate...

...and wound up...

...to throw a pitch...

...and watch it cross home plate...

...and be called a strike.
