District Game 1

After playing each other just 8 days ago on the same field, Holly and Brandon face off once again today, this time in the opening round of the MHSAA District playoffs. Although the Holly girls lost in the previous matchup, they weren't too far off in level of play, so they were hoping for a different outcome today. Today's game got off to a rough start for Holly, as they gave up a goal just over three minutes into the half on the first shot that they allowed. It appeared that the girls were in for a long night, but they settled down and came back with some attempts of their own. Unfortunately they weren't able to score, and trailed 1-0 heading into halftime.

The second half was almost a repeat of the first, as Brandon worked their way down the field and scored first, except this time it only took them 17 seconds to do so. Once again, Holly didn't let this get to them, and they continued their efforts to work their way back in the game. Despite their hard work, they just weren't able to convert any of their chances. The end result was a 2-0 loss for the lady Bronchos, ending their season in the opening round of the playoffs. Here's hoping the best to the seniors on the team, and to better luck next year.
