Drew and his Jr. Everblades teammates took to the ice for the
first of two games today, a late morning contest against the Golden
Wolves. The Everblades got off to a good start, scoring the games
first goal just under the 10 minute mark, grabbing an early 1-0
lead. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there, as the Golden
Wolves would dominate the rest of the way. They would tie things up
less than 30 seconds after the Everblades goal, then grabbed the
lead for good just a little over a minute later. They would score
two more goals before the period ended, included one with just a 1/2
second on the clock, ending the first period with a 4-1 lead. The
second period was less eventful, with only a single goal scored.
Unfortunately for the Jr. Everblades and their fans, it was scored
by the Wolves. The goal widened their lead to 5-1. The third period
was once again dominated by the Golden Wolves, as they would score
three additional goals, including another one with less than a
second remaining. The final score would end up 8-1, with the
Everblades on the wrong end of the margin. |
