Drew missed the previous matchup between his HoneyBaked hockey
team and the Ann Arbor Wolves, but the game was decisively in favor
of the Wolves. With this knowledge in mind, I would have preferred
Drew skip this game tonight so I could attend Samantha's soccer
game, but he was adamant about playing in his last game with the
team. Unfortunately for the HoneyBaked players and fans, this game
didn't go much better. Ann Arbor got on the board a minute in, and
scored another goal just 11 seconds later to make it a 2-0 game
early. A power-play goal just two minutes later made it 3-0 in favor
of the Wolves. The HoneyBaked team actually settled in for a bit at
that point, but the Wolves tacked on their fourth goal of the game
after the HB goalie handed the puck over to a Wolves player, making
it a 4-0 game.
The second period wasn't much better, as Ann Arbor scored within
the first minute once again. Two goals within a minute made it 7-0
in favor of the Wolves before the period was even 6 minutes old.
Thankfully that would be it for this period, as the HoneyBaked team
was able to halt the scoring of the Wolves for the remaining time.
Ann Arbor got another quick goal in the third, though it did take
then nearly 2:30 to do it this time. An Ann Arbor penalty gave the
HoneyBaked team a man advantage, and they were able to take
advantage of it. The power play goal made it an 8-1 game, giving the
HoneyBaked players hope. That hope would be dashed a minute later,
as the Wolves scored a power play goal of their own. Another power
play goal just two minutes later closed up the scoring, as the
HoneyBaked team would fall to the Ann Arbor Wolves by a score of
10-1. |
