Game two of the Grinder Tournament pitted Drew and his
HoneyBaked teammates against the team from Jackson. The game got off
to a slow start, as neither team was able to score throughout the
entire first period. The second period looked as though it was
going to go the same way. It seemed as through neither team was
going to be able to do much of anything, but it was Jackson that
finally got on the board first. They managed the lone goal of the
period with less than two minutes remaining to take a 1-0 lead into
the final intermission.
The HoneyBaked team did their best to fight back in the third
period, but penalties slowed their progress. Although they didn't
give up a power play goal, being a man short for nearly half the
period made it tough to mount a comeback. Once again the only goal
of the period came off of a Jackson stick, as they would score
midway through the period. The second goal sealed the victory,
handing the HoneyBaked team their second loss of the tournament. |
