Game 3

Drew and his Jr. Everblades teammates came into this evenings game needing a victory to make the playoff rounds or risk being relegated to the 5th vs. 6th place game. This game didn't get off to a good start for the Everblades, as the Columbia Cyclones would get on the board first, scoring just over two minutes into the game to grab an early 1-0 lead. It took a while, but the Everblades kept attacking and finally were able to answer back, scoring with slightly less than four minutes remaining in the opening period. Despite a few more shot attempts, the period would come to a close with the two teams tied at 1-1.

The Everblades would dominate the second period on the offensive end of the ice, outshooting the Cyclones 13-2, and outscoring them by 4 goals. Drew would net the first of those goals, tapping in a shot on a power play to grab a 2-1 advantage early in the period. A couple minutes later the Everblades would get their second goal of the period on a long distance shot, widening the margin to 3-1. Drew would put the Cyclones back on the board with a little over one minute left in the period with a back hand shot that made the game 4-1. Just 16 seconds later the Everblades scored again, making it a 5-1 game, which is how the second period would end.

The third period was once again all Everblades, as they would tack on two more goals to widen the margin to 7-1, and this would end up as the final score. Now all that was left to do was wait for the results of the other games to see when the Jr. Everblades would next hit the ice...

	Drew fighting for position in front of the net once again.
	Drew calling for the puck...
	...and getting the puck...
	...and getting off a backhand shot...
	...before tapping in his own rebound.
	Drew keeping an eye on the puck while moving down the ice.
	Drew taking a cross check (uncalled, of course) in front of the net...
	...while still playing the puck.
	Drew winding up outside the blue line to fire the puck into the zone.
	The final score was a 7-1 victory for the Everblades. Way to go team!
