September 25th, 2019

Since Samantha and I both had the day off of work, so we decided to make it a daddy-daughter day at Walt Disney World. Sam decided that she wanted to spend it at Hollywood Studios, but we first made a pit-stop at Epcot to register another visit towards the passholder coasters. While we at Epcot, we decided to take a quick spin on Soarin' Around the World. Once that was complete, it was off to today's final destination!

Upon our arrival to Disney's Hollywood Studios, we headed off to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. We took the path that routed us through Toy Story Land, but didn't stop for any rides on our way. Once inside Galaxy's Edge, we did a lot of wandering to check out the attention to detail. We also took the time to ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, where both Sam and I got the opportunity to be pilots (the best seats in the house, in my opinion).

Once our time on Batuu was over, we headed out across the park towards Sunset Boulevard, and a quick ride on the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Following our trip in the limo, we made the walk towards Echo Lake, and took a load off our feet while enjoying the For the First Time in Forever: A "Frozen" Sing-Along Celebration show. This was the first time either of us saw this show, and we both found it to be funny and enjoyable.

While we were in the Echo Lake area of the park, we took a trip on Star Tours - The Adventures Continue. I enjoy this ride, despite it being on the older side. They have done a good job keeping it updated, and with varying shows I don't think I have seen the same one twice.

Our next stop was Toy Story Land, where we got in the long line for the Slinky Dog Dash. Unfortunately, after waiting for over 30 minutes, and just as we were about to be assigned seats, the ride shut down. We waited it out for a bit, but once they offered to hand out a free FastPass to those still in line, we decided to take them up on their offer.

After our Slinky Dog disappointment, we decided that a trip to the Animation Courtyard should be next. While there we got to see a bunch of stormtroopers as well as a bunch of leaders of the Dark Side. Our destination here was the Voyage of The Little Mermaid, a live action show that has some unique special effects.

We headed back to Sunset Boulevard for a couple of rides, as we took another trip on the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. We followed that up with a crazy elevator ride on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

With two thrill rides under our belt, we decided it was time to head back to Toy Story Land. Our first stop was on the always enjoyable Toy Story Mania!, where we shot as many bull's-eyes as we could. While we were nearby, we decided to give the Slinky Dog Dash another try. This time we made it through, and were able to enjoy our tail-wagging ride. We also opted to give the Alien Swirling Saucers a go, as Sam had never ridden them before. I can honestly say that I wasn't impressed during my first ride, nor was I this time. I don't think Sam was either... this is a ride definitely geared towards the little ones.

The last item on our to-do list for today was the Fantasmic! show at the end of Sunset Boulevard. This was the first time either of us had seen this show, and we both really enjoyed it. It is certainly a unique experience, and one I am looking forward to sharing with the rest of the family.

All in all, the two of us had a great day. Thank you Sam, for taking the time to spend a day with this boring old man. I certainly enjoyed it, and I will cherish it always.

Oh, and from what I have been told, both Drew and Jayden and already looking forward to their day in the parks as well!
