Game #4

The first half was dominated by the Plant City girls, as they severely outshot the Hawks, and held possession for the majority of the time as well. Thankfully, the Hawks defense limited the Plant City team to mostly easily saved shots. The high quality shots they did earn were met by some excellent goalkeeping. The first half would end with the game tied 0-0.

Even though the Hawks would get the first shot of the second half, it was Plant City that got on the scoreboard first. They would score on a 3-on-2 "breakaway" where the player on the backside was left open and took an easy pass that was kicked into the open net area. That would give the Plant City team a 1-0 lead, which would be all that they would need. The Hawks would only get one more shot on goal, and it was a prime opportunity to know the game at one goal apiece, but their penalty kick was directed right at the Plant City keeper, who easily made the save. The game would come to an end with the Hawks on the wrong end of the 1-0 score. Next game, girls!
