Jayden and her Tampa Dynamo teammates welcomed in the second
Florida Hawks team for this afternoon's contest. The Dynamo
struggled early, and it was the Hawks who dominated the first half.
They would score the lone goal of the half, on a nice shot that
sailed high and into the opposite top corner of the not from where
the shot was taken. Not much that could be done on this one. That
goal would stand through halftime. Although the Hawks managed to
get the second half's first two shots on net, it was the Dynamo who
managed the first goal. The shot went to the right of the Hawks
keeper, and tied the game at a goal apiece. Unfortunately, the tie
was very shortlived, as the Hawks quickly answered back, after a
corner kick led to a scramble in front of the net. The Dynamo
couldn't clear the ball out, and the Hawks managed to knock it in
for a 2-1 lead. The two teams traded chances, but neither side was
able to score again, and it looked as though this would be the score
to end the game. As time started winding down the Dynamo team
started to pressure. They took a sharp angle shot from almost along
the endline that managed to deflect into the net off of the Hawks
keeper, knotting the score at 2-2. Just before the game came to an
end, the Dynamo grabbed their first lead of the day thanks to a
drive by the Dynamo down the left side of the field and a kick past
a diving Hawks goalkeeper, giving them a 3-2 lead. That would be the
final score as well. Great comeback girls! |
