Game 11

Jayden and her Tampa Dynamo teammates hosted the Charlotte County Soccer Federation team this afternoon at the Summerfield Soccer Complex in Riverview, in a game where both teams were shorthanded. Charlotte played the game with only 11 players, while the Dynamo side had 12, meaning they had one sub to swap in during the game. With the two teams being so shorthanded, they were provided two water breaks per half in order to help them out.

There wasn't a ton of action throughout the first half, as the majority of the play was in the middle of the field. There was only three shots on goal throughout the entire 45 minutes of the opening half, and those all came off of the foot of the Dynamo team. Unfortunately, they weren't able to convert on any of them. The half would close with a 0-0 tie as offense was hard to come by.

The second half was similar to the first, with offense being a struggle. Tampa got the first shot on net but couldn't find the back of the net. A short while later the Charlotte squad managed to keep possession of the ball thanks to a failed Dynamo clear attempt. They were able to take advantage of their extra opportunity by firing a narrow angle shot from the left side of the net up and over the Dynamo keeper. That score made it a 1-0 game, one that would hold until the final whistle. While each team managed an additional shot on goal, neither was able to convert. A tough loss for the Dynamo girls today.
