We had park reservations for the Magic Kingdom today, so after
checking out of our hotel we made our way to the Transportation and
Ticket Center, where we boarded the ferry for the ride over. Once
inside the park, we had to hit up the Starbucks on Main Street,
U.S.A. so that Aunt Erica could get her fix. Grandma Terry got a
drink as well. Once they were caffeinated, we headed back to
Fantasyland to take a spin on "it's a small world". Our
mission was to see if we could notice the new lyric to the theme
song that had recently been added. Spoiler alert - we didn't notice
the change. At all. I can't say I am surprised, as though this is a
classic ride, it is not one we ride often.
From Fantasyland we headed over to Adventureland to meet up with
Jason, Heather, and Colin. We browsed through the gift shop at the
exit of Pirates of the Caribbean as they were looking for a specific
parrot should plush for their cruise. Unfortunately they didn't find
it, though I did end up getting a new name tag for Baloo (his
somehow got pulled off and lost recently).
At this time we debated trying to find another ride to enjoy, but
it was getting close to our lunchtime reservation at Steakhouse 71
in the Contemporary Resort, so we decided to make our way to the
monorail to make sure we arrived on time. |

We had lunch reservations early this afternoon for Steakhouse 71
at the Contemporary Resort, so we interrupted our day to board the
monorail and head over. I didn't do a good job today making notes
of what meals we ate, and looking at the menu isn't refreshing my
memory. I do know that I ate a steak, and thought that it was better
than the one that I ate at the Le Cellier Steakhouse back in March,
and more affordable on top of it. Overall, a nice experience, though
again not one I am looking to rush back to. At least until I hit the
lottery!
After dinner we headed outside to take some pictures of Jason,
Heather, and Colin in the same Mickey Mouse ears that Aunt Erica and
I had yesterday. |

After lunch at Steakhouse 71 in the Contemporary Resort, we
headed back over to the Magic Kingdom for a bit. We didn't
really do too much, but we did hit up the Haunted Mansion
as my kids (aside from Drew) never really cared for this one,
and we went into the nearby Memento Mori shop to show Colin the
magical door. While we were able to get it to light up, we never
did get it to knock back at us. After this, Grandma Terry,
Aunt Erica, and I decided to call it a day. We said our goodbyes
to Jason, Heather, and Colin, and made our way out of the park
and back home. Until next time, everyone! |
