Home Up September 1st - Page 2

On Monday the 1st, we walked across the Mackinac Bridge. Grandpa Gary, Tara, Tyler, and I were the only ones who made it (Grandma Terry wasn't feeling well, Great Grandma Parrott had a sore leg, Sam was still sleeping, and there was no way we were going to take Steve on the 5+ mile walk across). The weather was perfect, making it a very enjoyable experience. Afterward, those who didn't walk across met us on the lower peninsula, where we spent some time walking around Mackinaw City. Tara, the kids, and I had to leave for home, but on our way we stopped at Sea Shell City, where they had a playground which the kids climbed on.

Looking down thru the guardrail. People on the top of the south tower.
Another view of those people. Looking up the south tower.
Getting close to the end of the bridge. Nearing the location where we received our certificates.
