So, we had a nice relaxing weekend, we were in the process of wrapping up our Sunday dinner when I heard a scream. Tara, in the process of cutting an avocado for guacamole (we were having tacos), had managed to drive the knife right through the avocado pit and into her palm. That put a quick halt to the dinner preparation! She was a little hesitant to go, but I convinced her to head to the ER to get it looked at. She ended up with 3 stitches and some pain reliever. The pictures I am posting don't show the bruising that occurred as a result of the injury, but she had some of that too. Moral of the story - never hold an avocado in your hand while trying to get the pit out!
