The weather was pretty spotty when we awoke for our first morning at River Ridge Resort. It wasn't raining, so Tyler deemed it to be great fishing weather. He managed to convince Donovan, Samantha, Marissa, and Drew to go along with his Grandpa Gary and I. Since we didn't have any luck with the fish, most of the kids got bored quickly (Tyler's bossiness didn't help any either). Dad took everyone back, while I stayed behind to watch Tyler and Donovan continue to try their luck. Unfortunately today we were unable to catch anything. Despite that fact, Tyler's fishing spirit hasn't been dampened in the least.

    On our way back to the campsites from the marina we came across Grandpa Gary and Grandma Terry sitting on a bench at the playground watching Samantha, Marissa, Drew, and Jayden play. Tyler and Donovan decided that it would be fun to join them, so we stopped to hang out for a while.

    After lunch today the gray sky gave way to bright sunshine, and the kids were able to convince Tara and Erica to take them to the pool for an afternoon of swimming. I walked up later to watch them and to help Tara take some pictures.
