Samantha's baseball team won another game today, this time against a Dairyland team that seems to give them fits. Samantha bounced back with a strong game tonight, getting a hit in each of her at bats (one of which cleared the infield, but thanks to the abundance of outfields in coach-pitch only resulted in a single). She also scored a run, but was left stranded at third base a couple of times. Sam's fielding continues to improve, as she stopped a grounder while playing pitcher and throwing the runner out at first base. She also had an opportunity to get a runner out at home, but her throw was just a touch late (and the ball was dropped, so it wouldn't have mattered if it was on time anyway). All-star voting took place after the game, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that she was selected! We'll find out Thursday...
