We made it to the championship game without too much of a
challenge from the teams that we played. This game was going to be different, as
our opponent was 7-0 going in. Fortunately for us, we were able to jump out to a
quick lead, which we built up to a 10-point cushion. We maintained that margin
for the majority of the game. Our kids used their superior conditioning to run
our way to victory, as you could see fatigue set in for the other guys. They
just couldn't keep up. Tyler played another strong game, scoring a couple of
points and getting a steal or two as well. Everyone played well today, in fact,
even those who didn't exactly fill up the stat sheet. Sometimes it is the little
things, and we had the kids who were willing to get those done. When all was
said and done, we managed to walk away champions by a final score of 33-25! Go
yellow!

team.

At the conclusion of the game both teams lined up so that
the parents and other fans in attendance could applaud their hard work. The
varsity basketball coach took a moment to congratulate the kids and talk about
how great the community support is for this program (we agree!). Coach Dave and
Coach Rodney also handed out "2010 Champions" to the kids. After the speeches
were over, we gathered together to take a final team photo.
