This set of pictures continues from our tour through the marina area, which the captain was nice enough to do so that we could get a better look at the many sailboats that had arrived from the Chicago to Mackinac race. Also included are photos taken as we left the island, headed towards Mackinaw City...

Star Line Sunset Cruise

Many sailboats were tied up in the harbor, often times with multiple boats to a slip.

Although it was unknown to us at the time, the dark blue boat on the left of this picture was "Princess M," the first boat to make it to the island.

Now that's a pleasure boat!

The girl in the water had just jumped in from the top of the dock... it looks like her friend wasn't brave enough to join her in that endeavor.

A few more sailboats were anchored in the harbor tonight than there was during our previous visit to the island only three days earlier.

A closer look at the Mackinac Island lighthouse.

A sailboat making it's way towards the island. Love the translucent sails!

A better look at the translucent sails on the boat in the previous picture. You can see someone standing up right through the sails!

The Round Island Lighthouse.

A look back at the Grand Hotel as our boat made it's way towards Mackinaw City.

The sun blazing in the sky.

More sailboats making their way towards the island.

Another Star Line boat ferrying passengers from Mackinac Island.

An Arnold Transportation Co. catamaran making it's way across the lake.

More sailboats...

A look towards the Mackinac Bridge from the boat.

A brightly colored sailboat on the water.

Tara and Terry talking, as Jayden and Drew take in the sights.

Another view of the bridge.

A sailboat trolling towards the bridge.
