July 20th, 2013

After riding the People Mover for a while, we arrived at Greektown, which would be where we were going to get off the train. We made our way down Monroe Street to PizzaPapolis, where we would be eating dinner. Carlos even split a Chicago Style deep-dish pizza with Tara (they wanted Veggies in it, or I would have shared one with them) while he was here! After stuffing ourselves on dinner, we continued our walk in the Greektown area before returning to the People Mover. From there we returned to the Renaissance Center and the Detroit RiverWalk, with the intentions of exploring Hart Plaza. There appeared to be some kind of event taking place which required admission, so we gradually made our way back to the parking garage and our car. We drove past the Fisher Building before finding our way back to Woodward Avenue for the drive back home. Before we made it that far, however, we made a quick drive-by of the Detroit Zoo (in Royal Oak, of all places) and the Cranbrook Educational Community in Bloomfield Hills (no pictures of that, though, as Drew wasn't feeling too well at this point of our evening).

...and he was none to thrilled about it (here is the picture from earlier today, as well as the previous pictures from the NAIAS: 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, and 2009 editions).
