Holly Bronchos beat Fenton Tigers by 8! That would have
been my headline were it not for a disastrous third quarter in which the Fenton
girls outscored the Bronchos by a score of 14-0. The other three quarters? Holly
21, Fenton 13. If only the girls could have played them even for the quarter,
but alas turnovers and missed shots doomed them. The girls played well aside
from that third quarter, and they did manage to outscore Fenton 9-2 in the
fourth, but their deficit was too big to recover from. Sam continued to play
well overall, playing good defense for the most part, battling for rebounds
(which was tough against the much taller Fenton front line), and even recovering
her scoring touch slightly. She still needs to be more consistent on her shot,
but she isn't off by much. The 27-21 defeat was the Bronchos second loss in a
row, a streak that they hope to end on Wednesday. Go Bronchos!
