August 2nd, 2014

It was a little foggy when we woke up this morning, so I decided to go for a brief walk to take a few photos. Enjoy!

Lake Huron Campground

A look across the campground into the fog.

The lake at the campground was barely visible through the fog.

The trees were reflecting on the lake through the fog.

Another shot of the lake.

We managed to have breakfast, get ready, and make it into town in enough time to stake out our usual spot along the parade route. Although the parade seemed smaller this year, the kids still enjoyed themselves thoroughly. In fact, they quickly shot down my suggestion that we should stop coming!

Deckerville Homecoming Parade

The veterans marched to a well deserved standing ovation at the start of the parade.

Uncle David walking in the parade.

The girls were fond horses used by the county sheriffs department.

A fire truck making its way down the street.

A cool tracked-vehicle used by the fire department.

Batman!

Friends of my parents, Rob and Denise.

A large Case tractor making it's way down the street.

An all-black Dodge truck.

A tractor pulling a snowmobile trail groomer...

...which is oddly named - a "Dubie Groomer!"

A tractor advertising the class of 1964.

A tractor powered merry-go-round...

...followed by tractor powered ferris wheel.

A giant cow!

Aunt Karen throwing out candy from the back of a pickup.

A large John Deere tractor making it's way down the street.
