January 20th, 2014

After touring the auto show (and listening to countless refrains of the kids complaining of how hungry they were) we decided to hop onto the Detroit People Mover to head off to get something to eat. As were were buying our tokens for the People Mover we ran into our friends Jason & Tania along with their 4 kids. We rode on the people mover together until it was time for our stop. For the past several years we have eaten at PizzaPapolis in Greektown, but this year we decided to try something different. We opted for Hockeytown Cafe, but after getting off the People Mover and making the walk to the restaurant we found that they wouldn't be opening for another 4 hours (due to the Martin Luther King holiday, we presumed - since other businesses in the area were closed for that reason). We decided to head back to PizzaPapolis since we were guaranteed that they would be open!

Erin and Jayden got the privilege of being the Elderly and Handicapped this year. Here is last year's photo, along with the 2012, 2011, 2010 and 2009 editions. They unwittingly carried on a long tradition of ours!

Drew was looking on as Tara had her picture taken...

...and she wasn't thrilled to learn that the picture had been taken!
