Samantha finally got to play in her second baseball game
of the season - after missing one due to a track commitment and another two due
to rainouts. Thankfully she didn't look too rusty, as she played pretty well at
second base and made good contact with the ball while batting. She moved to
shortstop for an inning, but she wasn't too comfortable there and did not like
it at all. Although the Holly Red team secured a 9-6 victory, the score probably
shouldn't have been as close as it was. There was an inning or two where they
got pretty sloppy throwing the ball around, allowing a few extra base runners to
reach and steal at will. The important thing is that they did enough to win,
moving them to 3-0 on the season.
