Here are some more pictures from our stop at the upper
falls, including our walk down the nature trail back to the car...

A look up at the stairs that we had to descend to get to the
gorge viewing area.

stairs.

Once we finished up at the upper falls we drove back down
to the lower falls. I couldn't convince the kids to go swimming this time, like
we did in the fall - they were convinced that it was going to be too cold for
that. I imagine that they were probably right. In addition to the frigid water
temperature, the river was flowing much faster today than it did during our last
visit as well. It would have been very difficult to traverse the river at the
pace that it was moving today. Enjoy the photos!

The river was moving rapidly today, sending water crashing over
the falls.

All four of the kids say on the downed tree in the middle of
this photo earlier this year. I'm not sure that they could have done
so during this trip.

Another falls view.

Jayden and Drew both decided that they wanted to test out the
water...
|
|
...before determining that it was very cold!

Although difficult to see, there is a bird making its way
through the leaves and branches in this photo.
