The Michigan Impact girls returned to the field for the
third day looking to play their way into the finals. On paper the Impact team
had a much better tournament than today's competition had, based on points and
wins. Unfortunately the long days appeared to have an effect on the Impact
girls, as they appeared to be a step slow throughout most of the game. They had
strong bursts of offense, but nothing sustained. Unfortunately they weren't able
to find the back of the net at all today, and wound up falling by a score of
2-0, knocking them out of the tournament and ending their weekend earlier than
they would have liked.
