I wasn't able to attend tonight's game, so I don't have a
lot of commentary about the action on the field. What I do know is that aside
from a 0-0 tie (against the 2nd place team) that WAZA experienced earlier this
session, this was the only game in which they didn't score at least 4 goals
against an opponent. Did I mention that this WAZA team is a full two years
younger than Samantha's team?!? And that they are comfortably in first place?!?
Both true. Unfortunately for the Impact girls, it wasn't the first time that
they failed to score a goal this session, and it cost the today in their 1-0
loss. Despite giving up a goal, Tara tells me that the Impact goalkeeper played
a great game and it would have been much worse had it not been for her
outstanding play.
