February 13th, 2015 Placing teams on a level playing field does a world of good not only for the kids and their confidence levels, but it also helps improve the watchability of the games dramatically. Today's game was the first time that the Storm team actually went out and dominated a game. They managed to jump out to an early lead twice in the first period, but there were some difficult stretches that allowed the Spartans to get right back in to the game. Drew scored a goal today on a nice shot from the wing, which put his team up 3-1 at the time. The Spartans came back to score 2 quick goals to tie the game up. The Storm came out strong in the second and third periods, holding the Spartans to just 1 additional goal while scoring 6 more times themselves. The final score of the game was a 9-4 victory, the first of the season for the Storm team!
