Game 3

February 14th, 2015

We knew today's game was going to be tough, but a victory was going to be needed in order to get the Storm team into the championship game tomorrow morning. Unfortunately the kids ran into a buzz saw - a much faster skating tea that peppered shots on goal while playing stellar defense in their own net. The kids really didn't play terribly offensively, despite only managing to score a single goal in this contest. It was their all around defensive play that let them down today. Too many turnovers, too many one on one chances against our goalie, and too slow to the puck overall. By the time this ugly contest was over, the Storm had been defeated by a score of 12-1.

The scoreboard read 7-1 (due to the tournament's 6 goal differential rule) despite the actual score being 12-1 in favor of the Komets over the Storm.
