November 6th, 2016              

    Today marked the final game of the Michigan Impact's outdoor season, facing of against the Mid Michigan Elite MESA Momentum team. Today was supposed to be Samantha's "sit game" (each girl was given a game to sit out, due to the amount of girls on the team), but an injury to a teammate allowed her the chance to finish out the season. It was beginning to look like their season wasn't going to end well today, as they struggled to do much of anything during the first half. After the last few games, which featured crisp passing and smart play all around, this game looked like they had forgotten everything they knew. Thankfully the other team wasn't up to the task either, and they went to halftime tied 0-0. When the teams switched ends after half things began to look better for the Impact girls. They seemed to be remembering how to play soccer once again. Once they finally broke the ice and scored the first goal of the game, they seemed to relax and play a lot better. Before you knew it, the girls had scored again... and again. When the final whistle blew, the Impact team had closed out their season with a 3-0 victory. Go Impact!
