    Samantha and her Impact teammates traveled to Lake Orion to take on the girls from Vardar on a wet Saturday morning. The weather definitely played a part in the action on the field, as the ball was slippery and had trouble rolling through the puddles all over the field. Sam played through the first half battle as her team fought to a 0-0 score, but wound up sitting out the second half with leg cramps. Vardar got on the scoreboard first when they found an open teammate on the back side of the net for an easy goal. The Impact girls refused to give up, and despite a lot of pushing and whining by the opposition they were finally able to tie the game thanks to a foul inside the box that was converted into a goal. Although both teams did their best to get the go-ahead goal, time ran out on them before that could happen, and they settled for a 1-1 tie.
