June 25th, 2016 Drew's team for the 3v3 tournament came together very late - forming only a couple of days before the games, actually. With that being said, there wasn't a whole lot of familiarity between the players on the ice. Drew knew two of the kids, one he played with for a season several years ago, and the other is a friend from hockey that spent his first games in goal today. That doesn't sound like a recipe for success, but things actually started out very promising. The knights scored the first goal of the game, and continued to find the back of the night through the entire contest. With so few players on the ice at one time, this was a much faster paced game than the kids are typically used to playing in, and goals were going in to the back of the net rapidly for both teams. When it was all said and done, the Knights hung on to beat the Firebirds by a score of 10-9.
