Drew and his Lapeer Storm teammates returned to the ice
this morning to face off against the Kenosha Komets, who traveled from Wisconsin
for this tournament. Like yesterday's game, these two teams seemed to be fairly
evenly matched throughout the contest. For the first 16 minutes of game action,
the score remained knotted at zero goals apiece. The Komets broke through first,
scoring early in the second period. The two teams battled back and forth for the
rest of the period, but the Komets were next to find the net once again as they
scored with less than a minute remaining, taking a 2-0 lead into the second
intermission. They scored once again early in the third period, grabbing a three
goal lead that they would not give up, despite the efforts of the Storm players
to break the ice and get on the scoreboard. Alas, it wasn't meant to be, as the
game ended with the 3-0 score that moved the Storm to 0-2 on the weekend.
