Game 3

This morning's game was the final game for the Liverpool girls in the College Showcase, with a contest against the '99 Michigan Burn team. The score for this game was a little closer than the play on the field seemed to indicate, as Liverpool kept the ball on the Burn side of the field for the vast majority of the game. The lone goal came off of the foot of a Liverpool player thanks to some nifty passing (started by a pass ahead by Samantha). Things weren't all positive, however, as Sam took a shoulder to the face that dropped her to the turf immediately. She sprang back up, but sprinted directly to the sideline with what would turn out to be a mild concussion and a broken nose. Needless to say no foul was called on the play... what else would we expect? Although that play ended Sam's day, the victory helped to ease the pain ever so slightly. Way to go Liverpool!
