Due to all the things that we had going on today, we ended up having Drew ride with a friend to the game this afternoon. Tara entered the arena toward the middle of the second period with 9 minutes left. The score was 3-2 and we were beating a AAA 12U girls team. I was amazed and impressed since this is a newly formed team that has barely practiced together and was formed with players coming from other clubs. By the end of the second, the girls started to figure out our weakness on the defensive side (namely Drew - he just seemed uncomfortable with this team) and our goalie had become frustrated. In the end the boys played better against this team than I had expected, though they still wound up on the short end, walking away with a 5-3 loss.
