Today's soccer game was a weird one for Jayden and her teammates. The opposing team was short a player, so that meant that one player from her team would be assisting the other team each quarter. The two teams went up and down the field during the first quarter, but each team played strong defense and got good goaltending, ending the 10 minutes of action scoreless. Jay's team got on the scoreboard first, scoring the only goal of the half in the second frame. While Jay didn't score the goal, she helped drive the ball down the field.

The second half was almost a mirror image of the first, but instead of Jay's team scoring the goal, it was the opposition - but the goal was scored by Jayden's teammate, who was playing for the other team at the time! The goal was scored late enough in the game that it all but sealed a tie. Sure enough, when the whistle blew the score was still 1-1!
