Game 2

Tonight’s game pitted our Liverpool girls against the Michigan Hawks Black team. The girls came out much stronger at the start of this game than they did the first game. The Liverpool girls got on the scoreboard first, with the opening goal of the game. The Hawks answered back to tie things up at one goal apiece, but the Liverpool girls weren't done. A second goal gave them a 2-1 lead going into halftime. Jayden played defense and sat on the sidelines quite a bit in the first half.

The second half decidedly went in the oppositions favor, as the Hawks dominated the ball. Once again, Jay played defense, but by watching her play you can tell forward comes a bit more naturally for her at this point. The Hawks cruised the entire half, going on to score 8 additional goals while shutting out Liverpool, ending the game with a score of 9-2. The loss dropped Liverpool to 0-2 in the tournament, with two games remaining to turn things around.
