Samantha and her FC Sarasota teammates traveled to Cape Coral
for this afternoon's game against the Cyclone. As they have been
doing lately, the Sarasota girls dominated the ball once again
today, racking up a big shot differential throughout the first half.
It would take a while but the girls came out after the water break
and managed to score two quick goals and back to back shots, giving
them a 2-0 lead. That would be all of the scoring in the first half,
as the Sarasota girls held the Cyclone to just two shots on net.
The Sarasota girls would score on their first shot of the second
half, widening their lead to 3-0. The game would slow way down after
that, as the two teams would limit the others shots from that point
forward. The Cyclone girls would try their best to get back in it,
but couldn't score despite taking the game's final three shots on
goal. When the referee blew his whistle for the final time the FC
Sarasota girls had held on to their 3-0 lead, notching another
shutout victory in the process. |
