Game 18

I wasn't able to see Drew and his Jr. Everblades teammates play today, but Tara was able to go and she provided me with the following recap for the first game:

"Entering this game, I wasn't sure what to expect. Coach decided to change the lineups and shake things up. Our goalie played offense, defense players moved to center, and offense played defense. It was interesting to say the least. 9 minutes into the first period, the Everblades scored the first goal to set the game on fire. Shortly there after, at the 4:31 mark, they made another goal giving us a 2-0 lead.

As we entered the the second period, the game moved a bit slow and the line change-ups kept coming. Drew found himself taking the faceoff at the beginning of the period, and several others were moved about. Shifts ran longer and players seemed more exhausted than the first game. At 3:52, the Sharpshooters scored their first goal of the game leaving the score 2-1.

Sadly, there was minimal action in the third period with the score remaining at 2-1 to round out their last league game of the season.

Overall, the Sharpshooter team appeared to be a younger team and played well against our kids. The players were respectful and the game was a bit slower than we've seen throughout the season. It was the fourth win for our JEB players this season."
