Drew and his Florida Jr. Everblades hockey team had a game early
this morning and wound up losing in overtime, so that meant that we
were free for the remainder of the day. Since we were still in
Orlando, we decided to hit up the Magic Kingdom one more time for a
few hours before heading home. Since this was an impromptu visit,
we didn't have any idea what we wanted to do. We targeted rides with
short wait times, and did our best from there. Our first stop ended
up being on the "it's a small world" ride, which is
one of the classic Disney rides that you have to experience at least
once. From there we made the walk over to the The Hall of Presidents,
a show that the kids had never seen before.
After a couple of slow rides and attractions, it was time for
something a little more exciting. We headed over to Frontierland to
get in line for the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller
coaster, which Drew and Jayden really enjoy. Although it was chilly
today, the kids still wanted to ride Splash Mountain. Of
course the temperature probably helped keep the line short, so it's
a catch-22. Needless to say, it was a good time regardless of the
weather.
At this point we decided that we should probably call it a day.
We had a long drive ahead of us, and work and school tomorrow. And,
as promised before, I will try to be better about tracking our activities
next time so that I can give a better recap! |
